XML and would cause parse/tag errors if left natively. The php processing code
replaces these (and only these) entities with the necessary characters before
outputting them to the XHTML stream. It also adds the & and ; to "nbsp".

Continuing the successful extension of WCRE with workshops in the last years, WCRE 2005 offers you the opportunity to organize a workshop devoted to a reverse engineering or reengineering topic. Workshops would be held in coordination with the WCRE schedule. WCRE workshops are characterized by a focused topic, lively discussion, and enthusiastic participants. Typical group size is between 10 and 20 participants.

Workshop Description

If you are interested in organizing a workshop, please write a workshop description of at most two pages. This description should include the workshop name, organizers, goals, topics addressed, paper selection criteria and mechanism discussion format, length of the workshop (full day or half day) expected outcomes, expected follow ups, and other issues that could be relevant to the workshop.

Workshop proposals will be judged by the WCRE Chairs on originality, relevance to the field of reverse engineering, expected level of interest in the topic, and the organizers' ability to lead a successful workshop.

The workshop description should be formatted according to the IEEE Conference Proceedings standard. Please submit your proposal to the Workshop Chair

Workshop Proposal Dates

Workshop description submission: June 10, 2005
Notification of proposal acceptance: July 9, 2005
Workshop description final version due: August 12, 2005

Workshop Organizer Responsibilities

If you are interested in organizing a WCRE workshop you should be prepared to take care of at least the following:

Maintaining a web site

Generating publicity for your workshop

Selecting submitted papers

Composing a workshop program

Keeping track of participants

Making your workshop into a successful event

Workshop registration will be handled via the WCRE registration. Workshop participants generally register to attend the full WCRE conference. There will be a registration fee for anyone attending just the workshop.
